But first,

a little backstory.

Morgan Maxon

My passion for hair and all things “extra” started at a very young age. I grew up in Eureka, Ca and I found myself doing hair and make up on all my friends and teaching them everything I knew. After graduating high school in 2006 I went on to Cosmetology School in San Luis Obispo, CA and graduated in 2007, then spent two years studying my craft and working in Nashville, TN. I, then, moved home and started building my business as an independent hairstylist, while rediscovering the area I grew up in.

I (re)met my now husband shortly after moving home and we got married in 2015. We had our son in 2017 and our daughter in 2019. We have been so blessed with our beautiful kids but there is nothing that could have prepared us for what it takes mentally and physically to care for infants and toddlers. We were in the thick of it. Then, the pandemic.

Fast forward a year or so as I began digging myself out of a post-partum/pandemic depression and trying to get to know this new world around me, I realized I did not recognize the person looking back at me in the mirror. Years had gone by and it was like all of a sudden I had a different body, aged skin, and a whole new set of priorities. I began the journey of rediscovering who I am and what’s important to me.

After 15 years working behind the chair, I started looking at my career as a hairstylist differently and realized my true passion is helping people feel their absolute best, from the inside out. I love feeling like I’ve taught someone something new that could effect their today and their tomorrow.

As women we often find that we’re so busy keeping track of everyone and everything that we forget about our own needs. For everyone around us (and our wrinkles) time seems to be stuck in fast forward while we’re spinning in place forgetting to live our lives with intentionality.

I want to help people live with intention and the best way I know how to do that is by helping women shift the way they view themselves. We are all individuals with our own styles and priorities and I want to encourage women to step into those things with confidence.
